Freddie Ljungberg: Calvin Klein advert made my nightclub life hell.
Former Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg has told how he was groped by women in nightclubs following his famous Calvin Klein underwear advert.
The ex-Swedish international, who also played for West Ham, told the Huffington Post how women would frequently come up to him and touch him in clubs, apparently keen to check out the merchandise.Ljungberg modelled for Calvin Klein from 2003 until 2007, as part of one of the company’s most successful advertising campaigns ever. However, it didn’t have all that many happy memories for 35-year-old Ljungberg, who recalled how he found the experience difficult to handle.’I'd go to a nightclub and girls would come up and grab my willy. Just like that,’ he said.’There were hands everywhere. From behind, from the sides, pulling and tugging. I couldn’t do anything about it.’The Swede joined Arsenal as a fresh-faced 21-year-old from Halmstad in 1998 and was part of The Gunners’ most successful modern sides. He scored 75 goals for the club in 328 appearances, winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups in the process.Ljungberg, who is believed to have a large gay fanbase, is thought to be on the wanted list for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.
